I've come across this problem a lot recently. A client sends me an inquiry or drops me a line but I'm not able to get back to them until a few hours later or even the next business day. The problem is because, although I'd love to, I cannot be at my computer or by my phone at all times because I'm assisting other clients. I treat all of my clients the way I'd like to be treated during a paid consultation. I turn my cell phone ringer on silent and I give them my undivided attention. By doing so, I'm not able to answer my phone right away.

I would like to take a moment to let new clients know that your inquiries are very important to me. Your inquiries keep me in business. However, being a one-woman-business, I am unable to take calls or answer emails at all times. Please understand that each inquiry will be answered within 24 hours unless otherwise noted on my voice mail or vacation response generated from my email.

A perfect example of the situation I'm facing is my experience today. It's disheartening for me to hear from a client that a stylist I often refer didn't get back to her. By the intonation in her voice, I was under the assumption that this client contacted the stylist a few days ago or even last week. To my surprise, the client had contacted her via email just two hours prior to speaking with me. The stylist I am referring to works full-time in a salon and normally returns home late on the weeknights because of salon appointments. She also runs her own business providing wedding hair for brides. Because of her busy schedule and not being able to sit at her computer during the day or even have her phone on during salon hours, she is not able to return calls or emails for 24-48 hours. Trust me ladies, she's worth the wait!

Ladies, your patience is very much appreciated and I please ask for understanding. Again, each inquiry or follow-up is extremely important and will be answered within 24 hours if not sooner.
