While strolling through Georgetown yesterday, I popped into the Barnes and Noble to check out some magazines. I happened to stumble upon a local publication that featured a wedding story complete with a wedding planning guide and tips to local recommended vendors. To my surprise, Northern Virginia Magazine listed my business as one of this area's recommended vendors for wedding makeup! It is in the June/July issue if you're a bride planning her big day! Great stuff in the guide (but I am a little biased!). Check it out!

Alright so it wasn't exactly a full two weeks or even one week for that matter, but it's up and running. Over the past few months I've done so much photography makeup I just had to take a moment and clear out my portfolio. Along with that I moved everything over to one site instead of having a separate portfolio site. Hopefully this change is for the better and will make things easier on everyone!

I left for vacation two weeks ago tomorrow and it certainly doesn’t feel like it. Where did the time go? Oh well. I’m back and ready for a busy wedding season. I have two weddings this weekend and will have a wedding every weekend until November. However, I will be taking off three weeks at the end of August to go to Greece with my hubby.

Since my return to work, I’ve been keeping busy in my new studio in Sterling, Virginia with Genevieve Leiper. Since our studio opened, we’ve been steadily booking engagement portraits, boudoir sessions, and model test shoots. Below are some samples of a shoot we did with a bride to be, Becky. She was such a joy to do hair and makeup on! What a cool chic!
