Yes, this is a beauty blog but this event and how it helps children in need is a beautiful thing.
A friend of mine, Drew Taylor, traveled to Africa in 2007. For Taylor, this trip turned out to be a life-changing experience. Most of us are aware of the poverty, lack of medical care, and warp-speed spread of disease such as HIV/AIDS in this part of the world. We continuously hear statistics such as “34 million orphans in Africa” and “11 million are orphaned by AIDS”. Through Taylor’s travels, he documented faces and places in Africa affected by this deadly disease. He put a face to those statistics and, beyond that, has founded a non-profit organization to assist those in need– 5 Orphans Project (5OP).
