But I want to leave you with a picture of a very dear person to me. My Aunt Nora. This picture was taken of us by Genevieve Leiper before one of our many shopping trips together. During these busy times, my mind goes to thoughts of her and our good times together. Nora, I'll miss you when I'm in Greece! See you in September!

*Summer Makeup Training Special!*
Treat yourself to a two hour session in my new studio located in Sterling, Virginia! By appointment only (and please mention this post when inquiring) I am offering 20% off my signature Makeup Training from now until the end of July. My Makeup Trainings are fun and very useful for occasions or special events. To prepare for the training, I ask that you gather all of your makeup products you currently use and bring them with you. I will then go through your makeup bag and make suggestions as to what you should keep and what you can throw away. Then I go through examples of looks with you and see where your goals are for your own personal look and style. I carefully go step-by-step as I apply your makeup. When I'm done, the makeup all comes off and I walk you through the look as you apply the makeup yourself. I believe the best way to learn is hands on…it also helps when you have a professional holding your hand along the way! To wrap-up the training, I make a list of products I think you should pick-up to complete your makeup bag. You will also receive a personalized step-by-step direction guide so you know exactly what to do when you get home!

While strolling through Georgetown yesterday, I popped into the Barnes and Noble to check out some magazines. I happened to stumble upon a local publication that featured a wedding story complete with a wedding planning guide and tips to local recommended vendors. To my surprise, Northern Virginia Magazine listed my business as one of this area's recommended vendors for wedding makeup! It is in the June/July issue if you're a bride planning her big day! Great stuff in the guide (but I am a little biased!). Check it out!
