Some items reviewed on Makeup Artist Backstage are received complimentary from brands and public relations representatives. Receipt of a product does not constitute a contract for a published review of the product. Reviews are done based on honest assessments of the products and content is not pre-approved by PR representatives or brands (nor are they changed if PR Rep or brand is unhappy with the review.) Products that wish to impose such limitations will not be accepted for review. Editorial time line is currently 45 days from receipt of product. Beginning in December 2009, all items received from brands and PR representatives are disclosed as such.

Affiliate Links and Advertising

Makeup Artist Backstage makes use of affiliate links in reviews and blog posts. A commission is earned when a product is purchased using such a link if a reader makes a purchase. This site is also supported by paid advertisements either directly from the advertiser or through an Ad Network.

No Warranty of Products

Makeup Artist Backstage makes no warranties as to the effectiveness or quality of any product. Reviews are based on personal experience and personal opinion. Individual user’s opinion may vary. Comments concerning reviews from users about their experiences are encouraged and welcome.
