To kick off Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall 2010, BCBG Max Azria took center stage today, and so did the looks!  Key Makeup Artist Sarah Lucero for Stila Cosmetics created a beautiful, clean, matte face using neutral shades.

Products from Stila Cosmetics:

- one step makeup for foundation

- chinois, dune, and puppy eyeshadows

- long wear lip color In the nude

- brown major lash mascara

Nails were neutrally perfected by Key Nail Technician Roxanne Valanoti with CND’s Putty Nail Polish.  The hair was organically styled by Key Hair Stylist Harry Josh for John Frieda into a low chignon with pieces flared out to one side.

Go Blonder by Washing Your Hair

johnfriedablonde

I’m a natural blonde, really I am!  You caught me, I’m not.  Every six weeks, I’m at the salon to conceal my natural brown identity.  During my most recent visit to the bleach dealer, I walked away with roots just a tad warmer than I typically like.  sheerblondegoblonder

The salon was out of the shampoo and conditioner I usually use to ash out the color so, in a pinch, I popped over to CVS and picked up Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo and Conditioner by John Frieda. After one wash, my roots were just the way I like them– lighter and brighter!

Whether you’re a natural blonde trying to recapture your baby blonde shade or a color-created blonde looking to recreate that just-colored look or brighten a freshly colored ‘do, this shampoo and conditioner system delivers a subtle all-over lightening effect via an exclusive Lightening Complex and Chamomile. The Lightening Complex includes Lactic Acid, a compound naturally found in hair, to gradually lighten hair by “breaking down” color pigments inside the hair shaft. Combined with a low pH, Lactic Acid also helps to improve the condition of hair by tightening the cuticle and strengthening the hair shaft for improved manageability, body and feel. Because the formulas continue to lighten hair with each use, the shampoo and conditioner should only be used until you reach your desired shade.

The cost is affordable at just $8.99 each and available nationwide at food, drug and mass retailers.
