2010 Grammy Awards: Lady Gaga Makeup by billy B

billy B never ceases to amaze me when it comes to makeup applications. Last night at the 2010 Grammy Awards, he provided the look for Lady Gaga– a look that I would describe as Marylin-Monroe-Meets-The-Future.

Of course I asked @MrbillyB over Twitter what exactly he used to create such a gorgeous look. Unfortunately he said, “I WISH I COULD…I don’t even know what I used LOL”.

Whatever you used, Mr. billy B, you’ve done it again! Pure genius!_47219190_gagaap

Diane Kruger At The People’s Choice Awards: Beach Waves Hairstyle by Richard Marin

image001

DIANE CATCHES A WAVE AT THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS

Leading lady Diane Kruger hit the red carpet at the 2010 People’s Choice Awards in a curve-hugging Hervé Léger dress and a curvaceous ‘do to match. Celebrity hairstylist Richard Marin let us in on how he created her perfectly undone beach waves in just five easy steps:

  • Start by spraying sea salt texturizer in hair.
  • Blow dry with the diffuser attachment on the Remington Professional Dryer with hair flipped over for maximum image002volume.  Do NOT run your hands through hair while drying as this will cause frizz. Dry 90% of the way and air dry the rest.
  • Next, use the Remington T-Studio Heated-Clip Rollers, alternately curling sections of hair with a 1 inch roller and 1 ¼ inch roller until the entire head is set.
  • Unroll when cool and shake your head around A LOT to tousle the curls.
  • Amp up the volume with a dry spray shampoo, and finish off the look with a spritz of hairspray to control flyaways.  Shake, spray, shake some more, and you’re out the door!

Remington Professional Dryer is available exclusively at Walmart for $50.

Remington T-Studio Heated-Clip Rollers are available at Target and Walmart for $44.99.

Diane Kruger: Red Carpt Updo Style by Richard Marin

DianeKruger1Diane Kruger lit up the red carpet recently with this modern day twist on a classic Hollywood style.  Personally I love the softness of this style.  It’s finished and unfinished but, at the same time, maintains its elegance.   Her hairstylist, Richard Marin, gave me the scoop on four simple steps to re-create this holiday hair DO at home.DianeKruger2

  1. Dry hair with head tilted forward using an ionic dryer for maximum shine and volume (try the Remington Professional Dryer).
  2. Part hair to side.  Using a one inch barrel curling iron, section hair in pieces that are 1½ inches by 3 inches wide. Curl in one direction for a uniform wave pattern, and let curls cool to set.
  3. Brush hair out in a downward motion. Keep brush close to scalp, and finger waves will form.  Brush waves to one side, and secure in side ponytail.
  4. Roll hair into smooth bun with the ends poking out, and pin into place.  Finish with a touch of hairspray and bit of shine spray.  To glam it up like Diane, add a sparkly hair accessory.

The Remington Professional line includes a dryer, one-inch flat iron and two-inch flat iron.

Available exclusively at Walmart; $50 each.
